echoes of the harvest

“echoes of the harvest” is a reflection on the cyclical nature of food, growth, and sustainability. Inspired by my own journey of growing food in the garden, these worsk explore the idea of using every part of what we grow, reducing waste, and honoring the bounty of the earth. By pressing the husks, shells and outsides of different fruits, vegetables, and plants into acrylic and alcohol ink, I merge the natural material with paint, creating layered imprints that echo the process of cultivation. These imprints serve as both a tribute to what we consume and a meditation on how the smallest elements of the harvest (those often discarded) carry their own stories. Through this process, I aim to connect viewers to a broader journey, where each phase, from seed to table, contributes to a deeper relationship with the earth and our role as caretakers of its bounty.
